Job Title: Islamic School Principal

Job Summary:

We seek a highly qualified and dedicated individual to serve as the Principal of the OBK Islamic school launching in the fall of 2024. The Principal will be responsible for providing strong leadership and guidance to ensure our school’s successful operation and development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Islamic values and education while possessing the education and experience to run a school.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Administration:
    – Provide visionary leadership to the school, setting clear goals and objectives.
    – Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the quality of education and achieve
    academic excellence.
    – Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
    – Foster a positive, inclusive school culture that promotes respect, discipline, and Islamic
    values.
    – Collaborate with teachers, staff, parents, and community members to create a supportive
    learning community.
  2. Curriculum Development and Implementation:
    – Oversee the development and implementation of a rigorous and comprehensive Islamic
    curriculum.
    – Promote innovative teaching strategies and pedagogical approaches to enhance student
    learning.
    – Provide guidance and support to teachers in curriculum planning and instructional delivery.
    – Monitor and assess student progress and implement interventions as needed.
  3. Student and Staff Development:
    – Create a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters the holistic development of
    students.
    – Implement effective discipline policies and procedures that promote fairness and respect.
    – Provide guidance and support to teachers in classroom management and student behavior.
    – Support teachers’ professional growth and development through mentoring and professional
    development opportunities.
    – Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lifelong learning among staff and students.
  4. Parent and Community Engagement:
    – Foster strong relationships with parents, actively engaging them in their child’s education.
    – Communicate regularly with parents regarding school policies, programs, and student progress.
    – Organize and participate in community events and activities that promote the school’s mission and values.
    – Serve as a representative of the school in external forums and networks.


Qualifications
:

– A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
– Strong knowledge and understanding of Islamic values, teachings, and practices.
– Previous experience in educational leadership, preferably in an Islamic school setting.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse group of stakeholders.
– Strong organizational and managerial skills.
– Familiarity with national and state educational standards.
– Commitment to professional growth and ongoing learning.
